Magazine Spread Reboot
In this project, the goal was to take an online research article from Outside Magazine and transform it into an eye-catching story for people of all ages to enjoy and comprehend. The first draft was very dry and resembled that of a research paper/article. The intention was to take the information presented in the Outside Magazine article and present it in a lighter and more playful story-like fashion. Unlike previous projects, the liberty of using color and imagery in magazine articles was awarded. Proficient paragraph form and hierarchy help guide the eye through the text, which were crucial components in the design of the magazine article.

Revision
From stage one to the polished product, I omitted the dry white texture and information overload from the original article. I opted to use a more colorful palette and intentionally placed the paragraphs based on the location of the graphics and illustrations.
